We are recruiting for a Ward Clerk - AMU & SDEC (Acute Medical Unit & Same Day Emergency) who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

You will be expected to carry out various clerking, some data entry and reception duties. Duties also include filing of hospital notes, meeting and greeting patients and relatives, liaising with doctors and specialty secretaries etc.

This role is Mon-Fri, 4pm to Midnight

Bank Holidays are included.

You will be responsible for data entry of confidential information onto the computerised database.

The data entry needs to be accurate so attention to detail is essential.

You will also be responsible for the provision of a high-quality reception service by meeting and greeting visitors to the ward.

You will support the general running of the ward by being involved in general organisational and administrative activities.

To ensure that medical records are request on Trust Health recs database readily available for patients being admitted to the ward.

To update and maintain accurate complete patient data on the computer-based system (Lorenzo/Nervecentre) and medical records database (IFIT).

To enter and retrieve data from all current Trust computer systems in place (EPR, Lorenzo/Nervecentre) to acceptable data quality standards.
