We are thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Child Protection & Child in Need service to join our Court Services and Safeguarding Team in a vibrant London Borough.
As a vital member of our team, you will report directly to the Assistant Director and lead a dedicated group of social workers and family support workers. Collaboration with the Senior Management Team (SMT) is essential as we work together to enhance our services and drive positive changes.
Your key responsibilities as the Head of Child Protection & Child in Need include:
- Assessing and managing risk factors within a robust safeguarding framework.
- Taking the forefront in safeguarding matters and offering expert insights into processes and policies.
- Applying specialized knowledge in child care legislation and Child Protection to deliver impactful outcomes for children, young individuals, and their families.
- Ensuring effective management of the team's budget and financial processes.
As the ideal candidate for this role, you should have:
An ability to work on-site as needed, typically 1-2 days weekly as agreed upon.
A proven track record of leading and motivating teams towards exceptional performance levels.
