A fast-growing Energy & Commodities trading company are looking for a .NET Automation QA to support them as they embark on a transition from a CTRM-centric technology architecture to a data-centric model, enhancing scalability and stability.
The first phase involves integrating a new event-based, near real-time Risk system.The primary objectives include decoupling from the existing CTRM system and establishing a long-term, purpose-built platform to seamlessly, quickly, and cost-effectively integrate multiple systems, services, and business operations in the future.
In this role, the Contract Automation Test Engineer will be responsible for developing and delivering automated quality assurance to the production software.
Additionally, they will contribute to the quality assurance process throughout the project.Key Responsibilities of the Automation QA (.
NET):
Test Design and Planning:
Design and implement automated tests for UI and data comparison using .NET, C#, and SpecFlow.
Expand automation framework functionality.
Provide development estimates for automation scripts.
Manage project tasks using Azure DevOps.
Support UAT/SIT and BAU releases with automation testing.
Manage automation defects and follow up with respective teams.
Maintain automation test reporting frameworks.
Experience Required for the Automation QA (.
NET):
Minimum 8 years' experience in automated software testing.
Proficiency in C#/.NET scripting for UI automation.
Previous experience working with Data Lakehouse, Databricks or other data related technologies.
NET UI automation frameworks and libraries.
Exposure to Test/Keyword/Excel-driven automation frameworks.
Experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
Strong SQL querying skills and backend testing experience.
Exposure to Power BI and Jira/Zephyr for defect management.
Willing to go the extra mile to ensure project success.
Previous experience in commodity trading QA or analysis.
Familiarity with Front Office and Middle Office PNL is a plus.
Adaptability to work across project lifecycles and various tasks.
This is a multi-year contract opportunity with competitive rates, requiring someone to be in the Central London office 3 times a week.
