We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tenancy Specialist Team Leader to join a team in Islington on a full-time temporary ongoing basis. The Tenancy Specialist Team Leader will support the Tenancy Specialist Manager in the delivery of a regional anti-social behaviour and housing fraud service, and will effectively manage and drive high quality performance of the team. This role offers hybrid working with 2 days a week based in office and 3 days working from home.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role, with extensive knowledge of tackling anti-social behaviour
- Previous experience in a team leadership position
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and current issues within the housing sector
- Demonstrable achievement in developing a team to build team competence and performance
- Understanding of good practice in managing tenancy fraud and key legislation
- Experience and understanding of legal proceedings and presenting cases in court.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlines
- Basic DBS Certificate required
Role Expectations
- Supervising the work of 5 Tenancy Specialists who deal with all ASB casework and cases of housing fraud
- Day to day supervision of a regional team of Tenancy Specialist to deliver an effective and professional response to issues of anti-social behaviour and social housing fraud, ensuring that our neighbourhoods are places that residents want to live.
- Provide support and advice to the team on complex queries
- Expectation to contribute to serious cases and attend multi-agency meetings where necessary
- Work with the Neighbourhood teams to map ASB hotspots and identify positive medium term and longer term solutions to ASB, inform the local Neighbourhood Plans and local offers
- Work with Courts and court user groups across the region to ensure standards are compliant with court civil procedures and any pre-action protocols and has a positive working relationship
- Lead and motivate the Tenancy Specialist Team through monthly 1:1 meetings, team meetings and annual performance reviews to ensure key performance targets are being met within service standards.
- Willing to respond at short notice in the event of a major incident
- Willingness to travel across the region and to other offices as required
