The Kitchen Assistant will be requested to do the below duties but will also be expected to be involved with the cleaning of the kitchen equipment items used by chefs in the production of food & kitchen area & also the cleaning & storing of all customer used plates etc from the 3 meal times a day.

Main duties to include

  • Service of food and/or beverages to customers to the standards set by the company.
  • Ensure all food hygiene regulations are adhered to, in particular H.A.C.C.P regulations
  • Cleaning duties associated with service and related equipment and/or furniture.
  • Preparation of service area and/or service points.
  • Clean and replenish service equipment.
  • Accurate storage of food items and equipment after service.
  • Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures
  • Handling cash transactions and ensuring the accurate cash handling procedures are followed in accordance with company procedure and till procedures.
  • Attend inhouse training sessions.
  • Maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform to company regulations at all times.
  • To present an image at all times conducive to good customer relations.
Key Requirements

  • High personal standards and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP
Experience

  • No previous experience required, but 12 years' experience in a food services or retail environment desirable
