The Paediatric Ophthalmology service operates within West London Children's Healthcare, with a team consisting of 2 Consultants, WTE orthoptists, and Optometrists providing services for both pediatric and adult patients.

The department collaborates closely with the Adult Ophthalmology department in the surgical directorate. With state-of-the-art facilities, the department ensures excellent multidisciplinary links with other units like the HIV unit, Craniofacial and Plastic Surgery Units, and the Beta Cell unit for Diabetes and Endocrinology.

Main Duties:

  • Supervision and support of the existing team
  • Maintaining and enhancing the department's clinical excellence
  • Providing top-notch standards of diagnosis, treatment, and care
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver quality service
  • Regional on-call commitments at Western Eye Hospital
