As Business Systems Manager, you will play a key role in driving innovation and continuous improvement of the services that enable Digital Catapult to successfully meet its strategic objectives in driving the adoption of advanced digital technology in the UK. This role is responsible for helping to set the technical direction within the organisation of information systems and enabling data-led decision making.

The role will be responsible for the management and delivery of the Business Systems transformation programme, in which we are replacing our existing Finance, Programme Management and HR systems with a new suite of tools. Experience is critical in the design and delivery of complex enterprise solutions. The role will involve managing the suppliers responsible for these technologies, working closely with both in house specialists and external consultants, partners and the wider business.

WHAT YOU'LL DO (Duties)

  • Manage the design, development, implementation and ongoing enhancement of the Business Systems transformation programme, taking a holistic overview of the end-to-end solution to ensure it is fit for purpose and delivers expected business benefits.
  • Act as champion across the business for transformation of our business systems and processes, promoting the change and system adoption, and engaging the teams in realisation of the intended benefits.
  • Proactively work with relevant stakeholders, internal and external and at all levels, including managing service providers and providing strategic advice to business leadership teams.
  • Effectively manage the budget and resources allocated to the programme, including internal and external resources.
  • Demonstrable experience working on the implementation and integration of business systems such as ERP/Finance, Project/Programme Management, HRIS and CRM.
  • Demonstrable experience working on high value, highly complex projects, ensuring successful delivery within time, cost and quality parameters.
  • Ability to identify and develop opportunities for the continuous improvement of services across the organisation from inception to completion.
  • Someone who has a passion for technology and automation. Experience in innovation in digital technology, AI or related sectors would be a considerable advantage.
  • Highly collaborative working style and experience of dealing and influencing diverse internal and external stakeholders; including Boards, Suppliers, Partners and internal stakeholders, and with the ability to enable and gain commitment.
