You will work one week on a morning shift followed by one week working an afternoon/ evening shift, this will continue to rotate.


The details of both shifts:

  • 6am to 2:30pm
  • 2:15pm to 10:45pm

Key Responsibilities of the Production Support Engineer consists of but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring all mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality and trouble shoot product quality issues when it involves machine processes.
  • Performing preventive maintenance as per established standards and carry out repairs where necessary.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydropneumatic faults.
  • Change bearings, drive belts, motors, pulleys safely and effectively.
  • Handle simple and complex heavy industrial equipment.

  • Previous experience in a similar industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts when the job demands.
  • Excellent computer and software skills.
  • High critical thinking/ reasoning ability.
  • A proactive approach to working with good leadership skills.
  • Good attention to detail whilst working in a timeconscious and time effective manner.
  • Degree educated, BEng / BSc or experience in mechanical/ engineering. _(Desired)_
  • Basic/ Advanced Electrical qualification (C&G safe isolation and fault finding single and three phase systems or equivalent). _(Desired)_
  • Knowledge of discipline codes and standards. _(Desired)_
  • Practical field experience. _(Desired)_
  • Intermediate computer and software skills _(Desired)_
  • Mechanical engineer with working knowledge of one or more types of mechanical equipment including rotating equipment, compressed air/pneumatic systems _(Desired)_
