This is an opportunity to become part of an established team providing support to users of our electronic health record systems across the Trust.

If you have good listening and customer service skills, we would love to hear from you.

You will be working as part of a team to support users of various clinical systems within the Trust. This is an exciting time for the team with several new systems in the process of being implemented.

We also operate a 24/7 out of hours support which will entail one in 5 or 6 weeks on call over night and weekends.

We work as a team, from our homes with occasional visits to base to print
smartcards.

We work closely with the Clinical Systems training team and other sections of the Electronic Health Records team to ensure that clinicians and supporting staff have access to their systems.

We take pride in being helpful so even if the call is not a CAST issue we will help users to get to the right place.


The team are very supportive and use Teams chat to support each other as well as a daily catch up.

Training is given over the first few weeks in post with continued support fromJ the rest of the team.


Working closely with the Clinical Application Support Team (CAST) Team Leader, ensure that all systems are stable, performing as expected and configured to optimum effect within Oxford Health.


As part of CAST, deliver the requirements listed below:

  • To support the day to day activities of clinical teams, and information consumers within the Trust.
  • To resolve issues raised by system users according to Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • To assist the identification of broad issues, best practice, and opportunities for further exploitation of the available technology.
  • To liaise closely with the IT Service Desk, and other corporate functions, such as Registration Authority, to resolve complex issues spanning responsibilities.
  • To liaise closely with the supplier service desk and service management teams to ensure Oxford Health achieve issue resolution in a timely manner.
  • To take part in the CAST Out of Hours (24x7x365) rota performing 'urgent oncall' services outside of the normal hours of operation for inpatient/extended hours services.
