Learning and Development Systems Administrator

Job summary

The HR systems Team is responsible for the management of all Trust systems.

This role has a focus on the Learning and Development system in particular.

The Learning and Development system is accessed by all staff working in the organisation.

The system allows staff to complete their essential and statutory and mandatory training as well as record supervision and Personal Development Reviews.

The post holder will provide support for the Trust's Learning and Development System and act as an in-house service desk, resolving user queries and escalating issues internally and to the software supplier as required. In addition to this, the individual will be required to support the development of the system and its use making recommendations for systems improvements, and recommending solutions to ensure the optimal use of the Learning and Development system across the Trust. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of centrally held data in the system

This role is a hybrid role with the majority of time being based from home.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual to act as the first point of contact for staff requiring guidance and support with accessing or navigating the Trusts Learning and Development system via phone or via message

The post holder should have good customer service skills and be able to remain calm and professional when dealing with sometimes difficult and complex queries.

The Help desk sees a large volume of calls coming in each day so it is important that the post holder is able to successfully manage the flow of calls, priorisiting the most urgent tasks and escalating others as required, whilst ensuring calls are responded to in a timely manner

The post holder will need to use their analytical and problem solving skills to understand a range of complex issues and to come to a decision around a suitable resolution

There will be ongoing updates and system reconfiguration work to be carried out, some at short notice. Therefore the suitable candidate will need to have a positive and flexible approach and be able to manage an environment with frequent changes in priorities.

This role will require a high level of concentration in an environment with frequent interruptions

Due to the nature of this role some systems knowledge or experience would be preferable, however full training will be provided.
