We are seeking a highly motivated and inspirational individual to join our Progress Coach team at Activate Learning. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping students develop the skills, knowledge, and attributes necessary to navigate the challenges and opportunities in learning, life, and work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead whole class personal development sessions for a diverse range of students across different sectors, focusing on building essential attributes such as self-awareness and resilience.
  • Deliver one-on-one and group coaching sessions to support students in advancing to the next level of learning or employment, while keeping them engaged.
  • Utilize a positive behaviour management framework to support students who face behavioural challenges.
  • Maintain meticulous records, collaborate with other student support services, and communicate closely with faculty staff.
  • Adhere to safeguarding principles, professional integrity, and maintain personal responsibility.
Requirements
  • Experience in education or youth work settings, with the ability to effectively manage groups and build rapport with a diverse range of learners.
  • Empathy and resilience when working with students who may exhibit challenging behaviour.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to deliver engaging, relevant, and personalized group personal development sessions and coaching.
  • Confidence in addressing challenging subjects such as consent, inclusion, personal responsibility, choice-making, and self-reflection.
  • Ability to explore and implement engaging and non-traditional facilitation methods, including project-based learning.
  • Experience with the MS Office suite and ability to quickly adapt to new IT systems.
