Learning & Development Specialist

High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom Dalton Recruitment Limited Full time

Our FTSE IT Services client is looking to appoint a new Learning & Development Specialist for a 12 month maternity cover contract, to work closely with the Learning Business Partners and wider L&D team in supporting the top sales performers with any learningintervention they require to elevate their performance to the next level.

In addition to the day to day L&D support of the sales team, the Learning & Development Specialist will also be required to take over the development and delivery of a new training programme designed specifically to give the high performers access to a bespoke,"a la carte" style L&D service.

This programme is already at an advanced stage of development rather than needing to start from scratch.

The position offers a hybrid 12 month FTC on either a 4 day or 5 day basis, with 2 days based in their Bucks offices and the rest from home.

While preferred, the opportunity does not require experience within the IT Services industry but what is key is a creative open mind, a genuine passion for learning and a confident positive can-do attitude.

Couple this with some solid previous relevant L&Dexperience in a comparable, transferable environment and this will be a very compelling and interesting opportunity for someone in a thriving, vibrant, highly inclusive client.

Responsibilities:

Supporting the administration, design and evolution of the sales learning and development programmes

Working closely with a network of external partners to deliver elements of the learning programmes

Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to create a structured and positive development experience for their employees

Ensuring that the design and implementation of training provided is delivering high quality learning and development solutions for employees, whilst addressing skills and knowledge gaps

Continually assessing, developing, and improving training content and delivery through regular internal and external benchmarking

Delivering training material confidently and enthusiastically, whilst adapting material to ensure suitability to different styles of learning

Assisting with the face-to-face delivery of the regular sales onboarding sessions, facilitating and co-hosting sessions with the wider team

Delivering 121 and group coaching sessions to the sales teams

Supporting a team-wide initiative to drive a culture of self-responsible learning and the adoption of the internal training platform

Working with senior stakeholders to deliver against sales priorities and ensure that relevant training needs are met

Ideal Skills & Experience Required
Demonstrable experience in sales and/or a Learning and Development role, ideally within the IT channel

Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with different personalities across the business

Ability to confidently deliver an engaging learning experience through classroom-based learning, workshops, online, and one-to-one coaching

Driven for results, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and proactively spots opportunities for positive change

Able to work in a detailed and organised manner

Able to multitask, set own deadlines, prioritise, and deliver against them. Is driven to meet targets on time and whilst maintaining a focus on quality work
