About the role

Team Managers fulfil a pivotal function, spearheading a team of Social Workers and Family Support Workers providing vital statutory and early help services to children and young people requiring assistance, protection, and care. They are tasked with guiding and supervising staff, setting standards, delivering feedback, and fostering a constructive environment for employees operating within a collaborative ecosystem.

Some of your daily responsibilities will encompass:

  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating social work and early help services
  • Ensuring practice quality, overseeing performance, and ensuring cost-effectiveness
  • Fostering and coordinating partnerships within the service
  • Playing a pivotal role in formulating and executing local service enhancements and advancements

About you

We seek a committed and dedicated individual with extensive pertinent experience and expert proficiency in Children's Services. You should have a background in leading diverse teams and collaborative efforts, as well as supervising and guiding personnel in a statutory children's social work context. Proficiency in planning, managing workloads, projects, and adeptness in change management are crucial. A recognized social work qualification and current Social Work England registration are mandatory.
