Modality Partnership Hull Division has a full-time vacancy for a
Level 3 Health Care
Assistant - Maternity Cover for 12 months.

The postholder will be a high performing HCA, working across Modality Hull Division.

Main duties of the job


This is a hands-on patient facing role; we are seeking individuals to join our team who are caring, compassionate and confident, who demonstrate effective communication, excellent customer service skills, good IT skills and the ability to support patients with interventions and/or queries.

The postholder will be a key member of the practice team, responsible for undertaking patient health checks inc. BP / ECG monitoring / height and weight, taking blood samples, health and wellbeing advice and promotion.

you have a passion for supporting patients by promoting health and well-being within the practice population, and you are able to carry out all relevant tests required to ensure patients such as those with long term conditions, or those that require tests as part of other medical conditions or referrals are supported.


You will not enjoy this job if you do not work well working as part of a wider multidisciplinary team of established practice nurses.


As part of recruitment to the Modality Partnership, we will be checking the vaccination status of all new starters so that we can manage individual and environmental risks.

Qualifications and Experience:
Level 3 Qualification
We require high performing team members to join our team with:

Knowledge and experience

  • Working in a primary or secondary care setting
  • Data input, Information gathering, Confidentiality

Essential Criteria-

  • Recent previous experience in direct patient care.
  • Phlebotomy skills
  • Proficient in Blood pressure monitoring
  • Urine testing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to follow guidelines and protocols.

Preferable Criteria

  • ECG recording
  • EMIS / SYSTEM1 proficient
  • Suture/staple removal
  • Wound care

MUST BE QUALIFIED TO LEVEL 3 IN HEALTH AND SOCIAL SUPPORT AND HAVE EXPERIENCE IN PRIMARY CARE. PREVIOUS APPLICANTS NEED NOT APPLY
