Permanent Security Officers for day shift working at Leeds Castle
Job Purpose
- To ensure the safety and security of Leeds Castle, staff, guests and visitors.
Security Officer Key Tasks
- To comply with all Standard Operating Procedures.
- To keep accurate records of all actions and incidents in the log system following the laid down procedure.
- To ensure that only authorised personnel gain access to Leeds Castle Estate.
- To deal with any queries raised by guests or contractors in a professional manner.
- To monitor public footpath use and support members of the Maintenance team
- To be fully conversant with the Access Control, Intruder Alarms and Fire Alarm systems within all the estate premises and to advise the callout team of any activations
- Ensure emergency access routes onto the Castle Island & into the grounds are kept clear at all times.
- Ensure regular contact is made with staff responding to Emergencies and Maintenance callouts to support their safety whilst lone working.
- To monitor CCTV and support any external Security AgenciesTo provide holiday and sickness cover for all security functions as requested whilst on the relief duty
- To provide accurate reports on all incidents at the completion of every shift and provide first aid response
- To maintain high professional security standards and to ensure personal integrity and conduct are above reproach.
- To make sure the patrol vehicle is ready for any incident by checking all the equipment carried at each shift change.
Security Officer Core Accountabilities
- High level of personal and professional conduct.
- Security of Castle and estate buildings whilst on duty.
- Follow Company regulations in Health & Safety and maintain a safe working environment.
- To ensure personal standards of presentation, performance and attendance beyond reproach at all times.
