The role involves managing as a Lead Category Manager (Band 8A) within the workforce Category and the ideal candidate will offer expertise in providing guidance for recruitment, bank, rostering, and workforce compliance. This ensures efficient, effective, and consistent HR sourcing, contract management, and consultancy services across a wide range of suppliers.

The chosen candidate will collaborate closely with workforce, finance, and procurement teams to establish robust strategies for delivering products and services.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of a strategic procurement service
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure service specifications meet procurement evaluation criteria
  • Assist in executing an annual procurement plan aligned with organizational goals
  • Manage independent contractors and foster effective partnership working for external procurement and project resources
  • Lead change and innovation initiatives within the organization
  • Direct individual procurements from start to finish
  • Build relationships within multi-disciplinary procurement project teams
  • Maintain communications and relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Offer specialized procurement support and advice to Trust Stakeholders and partners
  • Ensure integrity and fairness in procurement systems and processes in compliance with national policies and regulations
  • Contribute to the development of procurement strategies, policies, and procedures
  • Report to the Specialist Category Manager

Essential Experience

  • Requirement of CIPS Level 5 certification or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Category Management
  • Prior experience in NHS or Public Sector, including working with PCR2015
  • Proficiency in managing procurements across diverse categories
  • **MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN SURREY 3 DAYS A WEEK**
