We are looking for a confident Pursuits Manager to join our growing Pursuits team in Bristol or Edinburgh on a 12 month fixed-term basis. Our Pursuits team are central to delivering our business development strategy, working side by side with our legal teams to understand and anticipate the needs of our clients. We're looking for someone to innovate and drive forward our Pursuits team efficiencies from process to project management. Working closely with our Head of Pursuits, Senior Pursuits Manager and Senior Pursuits Executive, Business Development and Legal teams, you will play a key role in leading on cross-firm strategic tenders, influencing stakeholders and increasing success of tender win rate.

What you'll be doing

  • Using Pursuit tools for a consistent approach to SWOT, competitor analysis, points of engagement and stakeholder analysis.
  • Chairing and driving forward key milestones and actions from kick-off/strategy meetings, from proposition development to design and production.
  • Anticipating potential red flags and challenges, coming up with solutions to counter
  • Working closely with other Business Services specialists, like Finance Business Partners, to collaborate on strategic approaches
  • Owning and drafting compelling non-technical responses, aiming to score the highest marks.
  • Coaching presentation teams for winning presentations/interviews.
  • Leading on external independent debriefs.

What we're looking for

  • A strong track record of supporting the full bid cycle and confident in strategically leading and advising bid teams
  • Excellent influencing, strong communication and facilitation skills in order to be credible and challenge management and senior stakeholders
  • Pro-active and able to prioritise effectively. Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Flexible with excellent project management skills.
