This is a full-time (1 FTE), permanent role.
An opportunity has arisen for a forward-looking and proactive person to join our library team.

The Resources Officer (Metadata & Discovery), within Library Operations and User Services, will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of metadata and discovery for library content using library systems, currently Ex Libris Alma and Primo.

Library users are at the heart of everything we do, and this role is critical to our success. You will be part of a team supporting the integrated acquisition, access and discovery of digital and physical content.

The team work proactively and collaboratively to ensure all library users can find and access the library collections they need to support their studies, research, or community activities.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with colleagues, students, University staff and external contacts.

Reliability and previous experience of team working in a customer-focused role are essential, as well as the ability to use initiative and be self-motivated.
