Credit Analyst in London - US Credit

We are collaborating with a top global asset manager seeking to hire multiple Credit Analysts as part of a team expansion in London.

The position(s) will be based in London. Our client is specifically interested in individuals with expertise in US companies and who are willing to primarily focus on US entities in their next role.

The Credit Research team closely collaborates with the Portfolio Managers, who oversee a variety of strategies such as Global IG Credit, HY Credit, Short-Duration, and EM Debt, among others.

We are considering candidates from both generalist and sector-specific backgrounds, spanning from mid-level to senior roles in the HY & IG sector.

A minimum of 5-15 years of prior experience in a similar role, either on the buy-side or sell-side as a Credit Analyst, is essential. Candidates must also demonstrate a track record in generating trade ideas and have a well-defined research framework.

While the client has a keen interest in sectors like Industrials, Telecoms, TMT, Consumer, and Healthcare, they are open to engaging with talented Credit Analysts interested in exploring new opportunities.

As part of our client's future vision, they are establishing a UK-based fixed income/credit research team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough credit analysis across different sectors and regions, predominantly focusing on USD issuers in the HY & IG space
  • Collaborate closely with Portfolio Managers within the centralized Credit Research team
  • Formulate investment views & RV trade ideas for portfolio managers
  • Stay informed about market trends & adjust investment positions accordingly
  • Effectively communicate investment strategies and market conditions to clients

Requirements:

  • 5 – 15 years' experience in fundamental credit analysis within a buy-side or sell-side setting
  • Sound understanding of fixed income markets & instruments, including derivatives
  • Ability to conduct ESG analysis & incorporate findings into investment decisions (preferred)
  • Demonstrated capability to deliver high-quality analysis promptly under pressure
  • Excellent presentation & communication skills, fluency in English is a must
  • Proactive in identifying investment opportunities with minimal guidance
