We are seeking an experienced Strategic Travel Business Development Manager to join a highly successful travel company, working remotely.

Our client, a dynamic and forward thinking organisation provides specialist travel solutions to its customers meet their complex travel requirements across the globe.


Strategic Travel Business Development Manager Duties:

  • Pro-actively identify the continuous improvement of prospect quality and revenue performance
  • Contact and secure new business in the non-profit, event travel and group travel markets by applying consultative sales techniques and by promoting relevant products and services to achieve maximum profitability.
  • Identifying and delivering customer solutions that build long term partnership opportunities.
  • Investigating industry trends and customer data to identify new prospects and revenue streams.
  • Efficiently prospecting for potential new clients using multiple channels including networking, tender sites, and referrals.
  • Identify market trends and monitor competitor product and pricing.

Strategic Travel Business Development Manager - Essential Requirements:

  • Business Development experience within the travel industry.
  • High energy and charisma.
  • Ability to confidently interrupt client agenda and gain their buy-in in a short space of time.
  • Keen to drive business performance, successful customer solutions, and personal success.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office (including PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Foreign language skills (French, German, Italian, Dutch) – ideal but not essential.
  • Applicant must be based in the UK
