Job summary

An exciting opportunity to join the Wellbeing Team at the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, has arisen for a Wellbeing Project Coordinator. The Staying Well Service, our confidential in-house wellbeing service, has been developing and growing with the needs of our people since first being launched in 2015, and this role is focused on understanding the wellbeing needs of our people, evaluate and improve the welfare offering in this space.

This is an opportunity for a motivated, driven and enthusiastic individual with a passion for staff wellbeing and a desire to support the wellness of our people, to be part of organisational change and development, ensuring the right support is available in moments of need and prior to crisis.

For this role, we are open to discuss the possibility of flexible working, and will consider reduced hours, remote working or flexible start and finish times for example. If successful at shortlisting, individuals will be invited to explore what's possible for them to support their work life balance as well as enabling individuals and the Trust to fulfil the requirements of the role.

Main duties of the job

The Wellbeing Project Co-Ordinator will be part of the Staying Well Service, working closely with our Wellbeing Supporters and Wellbeing Lead.

We are looking for an individual with sound knowledge and experience of supporting the wellbeing of others, who has a passion for driving forward change in this area. The individual is central to the review, evaluation, and delivery of a new all rounded holistic approach to wellbeing in the Trust. Utilising their knowledge of National frameworks, research and guidance on wellbeing to enhance the current provision.

The successful candidate will lead on a programme of change, focusing on embedding proactive and preventative wellbeing, aligned to our new Health and Wellbeing Strategy. Ensuring an equal focus is given to mental, social and physical wellbeing and proposing new initiatives, opportunities and learning to empower our people to invest in their wellbeing.

Education and qualifications

Essential

Undergraduate degree in relevant subject area (or ability to demonstrate equivalent aptitude through application/interview) Ability to drive between Trust sites (driving license and access to vehicle) Mental Health First Aid trained

Desirable

Clinical qualification ( nursing, psychology, social work, occupational therapy)

Previous experience (Paid/ Unpaid relevant to job)

Essential

Ambulance sector knowledge and/or experience, specifically the Emergency Operations Centre Awareness of GDPR and Caldicott requirements Experience of implementing change within an NHS organisation

Desirable

Experience of reporting and presenting findings Delivering training sessions
