We seek a proactive and enthusiastic Environment Health Practitioner, or a graduate EHO working towards their Chartered status, to join our HMO Licensing team. This team oversees HMO licensing under national mandatory and Camden's borough-wide additional schemes. About you

You must be either:
  • An Environmental Health Practitioner holding an EHRB Certificate of Registration or Chartered status, or
  • A Graduate with a BSc or MSc in Environmental Health enrolling on the CIEH's Chartered Practitioner Programme. Support, training, and fees for candidates enrolled in the Chartered Practitioner Programme will be provided by the Council until registration/chartered status is achieved.
The ideal candidate will have a background in HMO licensing with in-depth knowledge of the Housing Act 2004 and other housing legislation. Experience in HHSRS, house construction, and inspecting/licensing HMOs is essential. Strong negotiation, communication, and IT skills are crucial for this role.
