Are you dedicated to helping children with special needs? Our Partner School in Shepherd's Bush is in search of a committed Teaching Assistant to provide support to a Year 6 student facing speech and language difficulties along with challenging behavior.
This role will kick off in September for the upcoming school year, offering a pathway to securing a permanent position within the school.
Responsibilities:
- Offer individual support focusing on speech and language development.
- Apply effective strategies to handle challenging behaviors.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to modify learning materials.
- Cultivate an inclusive classroom atmosphere that nurtures the child's progress.
- Track and provide updates on the child's advancements.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a similar capacity, preferably within a primary school setting.
- Familiarity with speech and language development tactics.
- Strong capabilities in behavior management.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Display patience, empathy, and a constructive mindset.
- Relevant educational or child development qualifications are advantageous.
