About the job:

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for all indirect spend categories across the business at a functional level.
Liaise with suppliers regarding quotations/tenders and manage through to end purchase.
Place orders for a range of support functions to support day-to-day activity in line with purchasing guidelines.
Maintain relationships with suppliers to coordinate on-time deliveries to support both immediate and longer-term business needs.
Manage expectations of internal stakeholders in relation to ongoing demands.
Lead negotiations with approved suppliers to evaluate and compare total cost of procurement to ensure best value.
Act as a key liaison between supply base and employees.
Develop relationships with key stakeholders to understand their ongoing procurement needs.
Generate, negotiate, deliver and manage supply agreements in accordance with agreed criteria.
Manage supplier performance.
Liaise with senior management to understand strategic business needs in relation to indirect spend.
Provide evaluation and recommendation on continuous improvement of processes.
Assist with tracking and analysis of key performance indicators.
A variety of other duties relevant to the role.

Person Specification:

Degree level or CIPS qualification (working towards)
Experience of indirect purchasing, ideally within FMCG operations.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office including intermediate/advanced Excel skills.
Thorough understanding of tools and systems that support procurement and contract management.
Proven track record of managing projects, successfully resolving issues and utilising internal network and relationships to reach solutions.
Ability to adapt to changes and make operational and commercial decisions in a changing environment.
Proactive in identifying both short-term savings and longer-term opportunities to add value.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Broad stakeholder management experience and ability to influence at all levels.

Hours of work:

Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 4.45pm

Friday 8.30am - 1.45pm (homeworking)

36.25 hours a week
