Job Purpose:
As a Buyer/Supplier Manager you'll play a pivotal role in driving strategic approach to ICT Supplier Management. Your primary focus will be on delivering innovative, cost-effective, and quality products/services.

You'll serve as a key liaison for senior managers and commissioners, supporting the Procurement team in planning and executing IT sourcing and supplier management activities to ensure timely milestones achievement.


Key Responsibilities:

Lead sourcing activities for ICT requirements, ensuring compliant routes to market and managing end-to-end sourcing processes for tactical needs.

Develop effective routes to market for strategic requirements.

Support the development of IT service management plans, ensuring all sourcing and contract variation activities are identified, planned, and executed within required timelines.

Ensure governance arrangements for all supplier management activities comply with internal policies and regulations.
Conduct supplier relationship and quality management activities, ensuring contract compliance and addressing any issues promptly.
Identify, prioritise, and mitigate risks with strategic ICT suppliers on an ongoing basis.
Provide expert advice and guidance on supplier issues to service and project managers.
Undertake any other duties necessary to achieve post objectives.

Requirements:

Knowledge and professional experience in sourcing and managing ICT suppliers, preferably at CIPS level 4 qualification or working towards it.

Exceptional ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Previous experience within a similar role, preferably within the public sector
