Gafoor is a dynamic and rapidly growing family-owned business in Preston. They are a key player in their sector supplying poultry products to leading blue chip manufacturers nationally.

The company is looking for a Technical Compliance Manager who will take on the responsibility for maintaining and continuously improving the Quality Management System across the field to fork operation.

This is primarily an office-based role responsible for all administrative activities, including HACCP and traceability documentation, trending, analysis and BRC compliance.

The successful candidate will be the point of contact for all technical QMS systems and data control onsite.

Excellent communication skills and team work are a must for this role as well as a flexible and proactive approach to ensure the needs of the business are met.

Compliance Management:
Ensure adherence to all food safety standards and regulations, including HACCP, BRC, Red Tractor and other relevant certifications
Assist with internal and customer audits and contact with FSA, EA and onsite OVS
Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation and industry practices, implementing necessary adjustments to maintain compliance

Documentation and Analysis:
Manage all administrative activities related to technical compliance, including maintaining HACCP and traceability documentation
Manage the internal audit calendar and function for the factory and assure the effectiveness of the corrective and preventative action process
Conduct trend analysis and prepare reports to monitor compliance performance and identify areas for improvement
Provide technical support and expertise across the organization, addressing food safety issues and driving compliance initiatives
Provide technical support to QA, production & commercial as and when required
Investigate food safety issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Reporting results from sampling, GMP and non-conformances to internal management
Monitor and update improvement plans for customer complaints and non-conformances
Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance food safety and compliance processes
Degree in food science or equivalent with experience of HACCP, traceability and general food safety
Experience within a BRC food production / manufacturing site within the UK
You will be able to work in a collaborative manner being flexible in your approach
T skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Self-motivated, proactive with a flexible and positive approach
