We are excited to be working with a dynamic and rapidly growing family-owned business in Preston to recruit a Technical Compliance Manager.

Gafoor is a key player in their sector operating on a national basis, supplying poultry products to leading blue chip manufacturers.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Managing the quality assurance operation with responsibility to maintain administration systems to achieve and maintain BRC AA standards, Red Tractor and all other technical audit standard
  • Managing the closure of customer audit findings and corresponding with the Technical Manager and customer.
  • Reporting results from sampling, GMP and nonconformances to internal management
  • Provide ideas for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of all quality systems
  • In partnership with the wider team, support the site implementation of all new products, continuous quality improvement projects including the effective execution of line trials and execution of process capability evaluations
  • Manage the internal audit calendar and function for the factory and assure the effectiveness of the corrective and preventative action process
  • Assist with internal and customer audits and contact with FSA, EA and onsite OVS
  • Monitor and update improvement plans for customer complaints and nonconformances.
  • Provide technical support to QA, production & commercial as and when required

Key attributes and skills:

  • Degree in food science or equivalent with experience of HACCP, traceability and general food safety.
  • Experience within a BRC food production / manufacturing site within the UK.
  • Strong communication skills and the assertiveness to challenge others where necessary.
  • You will be able to work in a collaborative manner being flexible in your approach
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities at any one time
  • Excellent I.T skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Auditing skills
  • Analytical problemsolving skills.
