ACS International School Egham is an IB World School offering PYP, MYP IBDP and IBCP making us only one of two schools in the UK to offer all four International Baccalaureate programmes.

Many of our staff also work with the IBO as examiners from entry level to Principal examiner and as workshop leaders across the various programmes.

We are recruiting a Head of P.E Department with a passion for inspiring students through a concept based, inquiry driven and student centred approach, a Head of Department who can develop staff through support and leadership, combined with, a Head of Department who will manage and develop the subject/curriculum area as part of an IB World School.

Knowledge, skills, and experience required:

  • Educated to bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) minimum – related subjects Teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching relevant subject to (High School /Middle School) students is essential.
  • Strong IT skills
  • Experience teaching in an international school preferred (of International Baccalaureate, MYP/DP Exercise and Sport Science) alternatively experience teaching KS5/A levels experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrates consistently high standards of personal and professional conduct.
  • Fluent in English both verbal and written.

  • To raise standards of student attainment and achievement within the whole curriculum area
  • and to monitor and support student progress.
  • To be accountable for pupil progress within the subject area.
  • To develop and enhance teaching and learning.
  • To ensure the provision of an appropriately relevant and differentiated curriculum for students studying in the department, in accordance with the aims of the school and the curricular policies determined by the School, and the Board.
  • To be accountable for leading, managing and developing the subject/curriculum area.
  • To manage and deploy teaching/support staff, financial and physical resources within the department effectively to support the department development plan.
