What you will do:

We are actively seeking a skilled EAP Counsellor to join Workplace Options and provide essential mental health support onsite. In this full-time role, you will offer direct services onsite to meet the company's requirements, playing a key role in the EAP. Your duties will involve conducting psychosocial assessments, handling clinical cases, and organizing group interventions to promote mental wellbeing in the workplace.



Responsibilities:
  • Deliver an integrated EAP service that includes intake and assessment, support, referral, clinical case management, and crisis intervention.
  • Provide counselling services in a responsive, efficient, ethical, and professional manner while maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Adhere to ethical, therapeutic, and legal standards governing service delivery, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
  • Refer clients to appropriate resources and maintain clinical documentation for follow-up.
  • Conduct assessments with clients on various issues such as substance abuse, mental health, and family concerns affecting work performance.
  • Perform initial assessments, crisis intervention, information and referral, and counselling services, with timely follow-up calls as needed.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the clinical management team.
  • Facilitate trainings, participate in orientation, and implement strategic activities for the organization.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a diploma in psychology, counselling, or related field.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in counselling or mental health services.
  • Accredited by one of the major counselling or psychology accrediting bodies.
  • Experience in trauma and Critical Incidents support.
  • Proficient in training and presentation skills.
  • Experience with employee populations and legal/HR teams is desired.
  • Global experience with diverse populations is an advantage.
