Role Summary:
You will play a crucial role in the project team, overseeing the design function and team on live Water schemes while collaborating with our Work Winning Department on tenders to secure future projects.

You will manage and coordinate the design of various projects from tender to construction stage. Utilize your construction knowledge to support innovative and cost-effective design solutions, apply value engineering principles, and ensure efficient construction phases.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of innovative design solutions.
  • Build relationships with design partners and clients.
  • Chair design team meetings and workshops.
  • Proactively engage in value engineering.
  • Ensure alignment of scope sheets with duties schedules.
  • Monitor and drive production through KPIs.
  • Review designs ongoing and resolve interface problems in construction.
  • Attend subcontractor selection interviews and review enquiries.
  • What we need from you:
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Adaptable, organised, and analytical.
    • Client-focused and a problem solver.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team.
    • Proficient in MS packages and Collaborative platforms.
    • Technical Construction knowledge and understanding of design standards.
    • Degree qualified in a relevant construction subject.

    The position is initially offered on a contract basis for 3 months with potential for a permanent role later on.
