In Brief

We are currently seeking a Head of Supply Chain to oversee our supply chain operations in the UK and Europe. As a key member reporting to our Supply Chain Director, we require someone with a diverse background in supply chain roles, ideally with experience in start-ups or direct-to-consumer/subscription models.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, dynamic, inherently entrepreneurial, well-organized, and an adept motivator and team leader.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the supply chain function
  • Develop strategic supply chain plans
  • Manage demand planning and enhance existing systems including forecasting, stock management, and procurement
  • Optimize inventory and stocks to prepare for future growth
  • Swiftly resolve any supply chain issues that arise
  • Pursue continuous enhancements and seek cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes
  • Expand and enhance current fulfillment and postal operations, partnerships, and networks
  • Establish and nurture positive relationships with all vendors and suppliers
  • Collaborate closely with the company's leadership team to ensure effective management and delivery of short and long-term projects and strategies
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance for the supply chain team
  • Foster a high-performance culture to drive high employee engagement at all levels
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team, encompassing fulfillment and production, to optimize end-to-end processes

Requirements

  • A strategic and analytical mindset
  • Demonstrated experience in supply chain encompassing demand planning, stock management, procurement, and fulfillment
  • Strong analytical skills and a capacity to leverage and improve existing information systems to enhance current processes
  • Proven track record in team management and leadership
  • Commercial acumen to enhance the efficiency of current and future processes
  • A fundamental understanding of how the supply chain contributes to the company's growth objectives and the ability to support this effectively
  • Proficiency in project management and problem-solving
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills

Important Details

The position is located at our production and fulfillment center in Paddock Wood, Kent, requiring a minimum commitment of 4 days per week.
