Full time (37.5 hours p/w / hours negotiable)

Salary - £24,000


STHC is a not-for-profit GP Federation, set up in 2017, to bring together GP practices to work collaboratively, delivering services 'at scale' across the borough of South Tyneside and is formed from 18 of the 21 practices across South Tyneside.


JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
Some of the day-to-day responsibilities of the role will be:

  • Inputting invoices and information into Xero Accounting Software
  • Bank reconciliation and month end reporting
  • Credit control
  • Bank payments to suppliers, staff, and General Practices
  • Production of reports from the Accounting Software

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of accountancy processes and the use of cost codes.
  • Experience working within a financial environment.
  • An understanding of accountancy software and production of reports.
  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and a knowledge of Zero Accounting System would be an advantage.

COMMUNICATION

  • An ability to work accurately to deadlines and good communication skills are required to be able to discuss financial information with other departments within the business.
  • Deal with all incoming and outgoing mail, including taking appropriate action.

PERSON SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Good Standard of Education - Essential

Qualified to AAT level 3 or above - Desirable

Experience with cloud-based accounting software - Essential

Experience of working within a NHS organisation - Desirable

Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel - Essential

A knowledge of Xero Accounting system - Desirable

Good written and verbal communication - Essential

Good organisational skills - Essential

Proven Team membership skills - Essential
