Essential Criteria:
Design and 3D drafting in Catia V5 using the Harness Tool.n3D data management using Teamcenter.nPackage investigations and development of solutions to EDS related package issues.nAdhere to Customer specifications and requirements while developing designs.nAdhere to internal specifications and requirements while developing designs.nTimely implementation of design changes during program development, prototype and production build phasesnReview designs with customer manufacturing team to ensure feasibility for instillation into vehicle, including using all design process.nEnsure EDS routing and package design is compatible with vehicle environment.nPrepare marked up 2D drawings to support design changes, Check 2D drawings are in-line with the planned design prior to release.nParticipate in internal and customer meetings to support EDS design and development.nSupport design reviews, prototype harness and vehicle builds at company and customer locations.
Identify, track and resolve EDS design and manufacturing issues.nParticipate in cost & weight benchmarking activities.nGenerate, review and evaluate potential cost reduction ideas.nCarry out CAD assembly investigations together with the responsible project engineers in virtual vehicle assembly rooms and preparation of the corresponding documentation.
Skills RequirednEssential Criteria ContinuednPreparation of 3D CAD design drafts for wiring harness components, e.g.cable channels, brackets and fixing parts as a basis for the detail design by the component supplier.nLead DFM design checks and interface with manufacturing plants to resolve noncompliance issues 2D drawings through the design & serial production phases.nWork with EDS manufacturing plants to exchange information and to ensure feasibility and optimisation of design.nInitiate NCRs (New Component Requests) and interface with Advanced Purchasing, Advanced Supplier Development, Provisional Component Engineering, and Components team for the development and approval of new-tooled componentsnCommunicate to customer the content and status of the design, design changes, and build requirements.
