Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is a 40-year-old male who has learning disabilities living in the Stowlawn area of Bilston who is looking to recruit a personal assistant to provide support with access the local community and to plan activities Monday to Friday for 35 hours per week.
Main duties:
Social duties
- keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
- plan and attend activities.
- attend medical appointments if required.
- access the local community.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.
Type of person that you/they are looking for:
Values: someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel and understands equality & diversity.
Specific requirements: someone with an understanding and experience of working with individuals with Learning Disabilities.
Hours of work: 35 hours per week
Monday to Friday (times flexible)
Rate of pay:
£10.20 per hour.

Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
