Job summary
At QEF Care and Rehabilitation Centre (CRC) we offer neurorehabilitation and transitional support to clients after a stroke or other acquired brain injury. Our specialist multi-disciplinary team provides residential or outpatient therapies to those with physical, cognitive and/or communication disabilities, which may also include mild to moderate behavioral problems.
We have a diverse range of one-to-one support programs, tailored to help improve social and functional abilities as well as support for that important move home and back to education or work.
JOB PURPOSE
To support the therapy teams with the treatment of CRC Clients.
Main duties of the job
To assist in handling and transferring of residents. To assist with therapy treatment of residents. Under guidance from senior colleagues, to complete simple exercise routines To prepare residents and treatment area in readiness. Clerical duties within the Department. To assist in supporting basic care needs of the residents if required.Order relevant equipment as required, and to maintain an inventory of work areas and equipment clean
To attend meetings as required, ensuring good communication and continuity of care.
To maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
To maintain and organise relevant electronic and paperwork filing systems.
To attend, participate and contribute to staff meetings, training and supervision sessions as requested.
To work as a member of the team, contributing to the team ethos and supporting clients and colleagues appropriately.
To liaise in a professional manner at all times with residents family members, friends, advocates and other professionals.
To report and record all incidents to the appropriate therapist prior to taking any action, when possible. To follow any guidance provided in accordance with QEF protocols.
To undertake any reasonable travelling requirements in order to fulfil the tasks and responsibilities of the role.
To undertake any other duties as may from time to time be specified by QEF, that are within the level of responsibility appropriate to the post.

QEF is structured into two main services - Mobility Services (who operate outreach services across the South East of England), Care and Rehabilitation Centre located within our Leatherhead in Surrey campus. These are augmented by QEF Retail Trading and a family of smaller charities
