Job summary

Due to a retirement, we have a rarely available, part time Clinical Specialist Physiotherapy post in our Level 3 Neonatal Care Unit open to applications.

We are a friendly, dynamic and supportive unit where the successful candidate will have the privilege of providing highly specialist care for premature and sick babies from the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Network as well as supporting their families and the MDT with advice and management support.

The post holder will help to develop, co-ordinate, deliver and evaluate the physiotherapy service provided to the Neonatal and transitional care service.

Main duties of the job

To provide highly specialist neonatal care including respiratory (including ventilated cots), developmental and neurological assessments, treatment, advice and recommendation to families and the MDT To lead outpatient developmental clinic review including objective measures such as BS ID-III and Parca-R (but not limited to.) To achieve and maintain a high standard of clinical care using evidence based practice; keeping up to date with clinical developments; analysing current research; discussing and implementing changes in clinical practice and encouraging this throughout the team To initiate, audit and lead projects to develop services and relationships in line with recent NHS initiatives and the Neonatal Working Groups.
