Join a team that develops reliable and flexible test and measurement solutions to support broadcasters and content creators in managing their video-delivery systems efficiently. iO Associates is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to be part of their dynamic team in Thatcham, Berkshire (2 days/week in office).
Responsibilities:
- Work on the complete software stack, spanning from high-level software for user interface, integration services, and control software to specialized Linux device drivers connecting with unique hardware.
- Gain exposure to cutting-edge embedded computing platforms while creating solutions that capitalize on evolving broadcast technologies.
- Utilize various technologies such as FPGAs, Yocto, Linux, C++, Qt, and ARM in product development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant software development experience with a proven track record in successful project delivery across the software development lifecycle.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in C++ (C++11 minimum) and Linux development.
- Proficiency in computer science fundamentals like data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
- Familiarity with modern software development practices, including design reviews, coding standards, source control management, CI, testing, and operations.
