About the Role

Xtrac is a world-leading manufacturer of Motorsport and High-Performance Automotive Transmission Solutions. We are seeking a skilled Software Control Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge transmission systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering software development projects, incorporating software within transmission systems, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of projects. They will also assist the Head of Control Systems and Electronics in project planning and resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver software development projects to meet project requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software within transmission systems.
  • Ensure project delivery on time and within budget.
  • Assist in project planning and resource allocation.

Requirements

  • BEng or BSc (or similar) degree in mechanical, mechatronic, electrical, electronic, or control system engineering.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Software Developer/Engineer in an automotive engineering environment.
  • Excellent IT skills and knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Coding skills in C++, ESDL, or Python.
  • Experience with model-based design, simulation, and embedded targeting using tools like Matlab/Simulink, ASCET, or similar.
