About Ignite Hubs:

We are an education charity leading the way in innovative approaches to help children and young people learn, grow, and succeed both in school and in life.

Our goal is to ensure that all children and young people not only survive but thrive in the digital era, access rewarding careers, and lead fulfilling lives.

We aim to create an optimal learning environment for children and young people of all backgrounds and abilities, particularly:

  • Children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities

Our Objectives:

  • Support and empower young individuals into employment

This is a thrilling new position responsible for leading our educational strategy and designing curricula to deliver high-quality, effective, and engaging educational programs.

The role involves spearheading educational research, curriculum development, instructor training, and the enhancement of our Online Learning Platform.

Currently, we conduct five remote Coding classes and five onsite STEM classes weekly during term time at various libraries across Southwark, with plans underway to establish a digital makerspace at the fifth site.

In addition, we are developing educational products to ignite children's passion for learning, starting with our STEM Career Books series, with two titles already published and a third scheduled for release later this year.

Future initiatives include expanding our remote coding classes, launching the Creativity Hub, establishing a mentoring program, and introducing an Online Learning Platform. We are also aiming to grow commercially by offering private tutoring services to ensure financial sustainability.

We are eager to build relationships with schools, educational institutions, universities, think tanks, and other relevant organizations to advance our mission and reach more children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee curricula and contribute to the creation and development of our educational Hubs to meet diverse learning needs

  • Strong analytical skills to assess educational outcomes and utilize data for decision-making
  • Familiarity with educational standards and regulations, including readiness for inspections like Ofsted or similar (desirable)
  • Commitment to professional growth and development
