This is a great opportunity for an individual with process modelling and process management experience to join our Process Centre of Excellence (PCOE) team.

Process management is at the heart of Nationwide Building Society's operational strategy and a key component of this is to develop more mature business process ownership and a complete set of end-to-end business process views.


This role provides an opportunity to join a friendly and dynamic team with a broad skill set that helps the Society to meet its Focussed, Fit and Fast strategic goals.

Whilst this role supports remote working, we encourage colleagues to collaborate as a team.

You'll need to be available one day a week to get together physically for team meetings and other teamwork opportunities in our Swindon Head Office.

The Process Centre of Excellence team in the Frameworks & Implementation team in the Chief Operating Office function. The PCOE is engaged in evolving process management currently led by Otto Benz.


The PI role in our team delivers process risk & control assessments to support business transformation teams carrying out process mapping activities for customer-facing processes to identify process risks & controls & any gaps.


What you'll be doing:


Your work will be varied and you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in various business areas as you support them to record and model their business processes in the Nationwide Process Repository (currently ARIS) as well as highlighting any potential process governance & operational improvements.


You'll do this by:

  • Being an ambassador for E2E Process Management in the Society, promoting adoption of ARIS and integration of ARIS in operational activities.
  • Create, maintain and innovate Process Management GROW channel
  • Create, maintain & deliver ARIS training promoting online selfservice training
  • Liaising with process teams to update & maintain the ARIS Process Modelling standards as part of the ARIS Design & Operations team.
In addition, the role contributes to process framework activities including process mapping governance, standards and approaches that may include:

  • Drafting policies and other guidance documents to support process mapping
  • Support the Process Owner process mapping teams to document E2E processes using ARIS toolset
  • Assisting with process maturity assessments and monitoring.

About you:

  • Real interest and passion for process management and process modelling
  • Good verbal communication skills; you're confident in providing engaging online or classroombased training in relation to tooling
  • Demonstrable experience of and welldeveloped understanding of E2E Process Management & Process Architecture and how it adds value to an organisation
  • Demonstrate relevant experience and knowledge of process improvement and change methodologies
  • Solid depth of knowledge and experience with change methodologies and process impact
  • Previous Process modelling experience, preferably ARIS or similar tool.
  • Confidence to ask the relevant questions for process modelling and challenge something that doesn't feel right
