Joining the Technical team as a
Quality Supervisor, you'll play an instrumental role ensuring the successful manufacture, legality and quality of our
food-based diet products which are used across the world and continue to transform lives.

Leading a team of Quality Technicians on your shift, you'll continually improve our
monitoring and
control systems, using the correct implementation of
HACCP and our
Food Safety Management System (FSMS).


As the
Quality lead on your shift, you'll
support, coach and motivate your team to drive a culture that promotes the
continuous improvement of both product
quality and
GMP.

Day to day you can expect to be involved in various departmental projects, all aligned to wider business and personal objectives, along with collaborating with various other departments in
GMP,
traceability and other meetings.

As part of your role, you'll also;

  • Carry out investigations and follow up to conclusion on any issues raised with corrective actions put in place
  • Ensure all scheduled audits of CCPs are completed with the site HACCP plan
  • Maintain the required resource on shift, managing holidays and absence
  • Produce relevant metrics and reporting, on both performance of the Quality function and any the customer complaint system, identifying opportunities to improve
  • Verify each line at product changeover and review production plans to consider any allergens
  • Give positive challenge to your peers across the business
  • Whilst you'll be leading your teams activity, you'll also find yourself carrying out a mixture of verification and tasks such as swabbing

Am I the right person?


You'll already have
demonstrable experience within a
Quality/Technical department in the food industry, that has either involved
leading a team or where you can showcase that you've stepped up into a
supervisory capacity for a period of time, that has involved people management practices such as absence management, work allocation, resource management etc.

You'll also;

  • Have
    Level 3 Food Safety and
    HACCP, Level 4 preferred
  • Be competent working towards a recognised food safety standard such as FSSC2200 or BRC and supporting a business in preparing for it
  • Be able to conduct internal audits, Lead Auditor desirable but not essential
  • Be calm under pressure
  • Have the ability to actively listen and lead your team through coaching and support
  • Have an analytical mindset, being able to interrogate data to produce insight
