Job summary

We are seeking a visionary and strategic Director of Product & Strategy to join our executive team. This role is central to driving August's product strategy and innovation across all business functions. The ideal candidate will have a blend of management consulting experience and hands-on product leadership in a mid-size or fast-growing tech company. This position requires a strategic thinker who can reimagine and enhance our product use across all departments, ensuring seamless functionality and continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Strategic Leadership: Advise on the current product strategy and present new and improved methods of functionality and day-to-day operations.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with all in-house teams including legal, finance, operations, HR, client experience, sales, marketing, and growth.
  • Product Innovation: Lead the re-strategizing of product use across the business to optimise performance, efficiency and productivity gains - directly measured.
  • Team Management: Oversee the product team, including the Product Lead, their associate, and a new back-end developer and third party teams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership to align product strategies with company goals and objectives.
  • Own the entire technology stack.

The person to fill this role will have:

  • A minimum of 10 years of industry experience, with a blend of management consulting and product leadership roles.
  • Perhaps you have experience at a consulting firm such as Bain, BCG or similar, followed by a product role in a mid-size or fast-growing company.
  • Relevant qualifications and a proven track record of driving product strategy and implementing change across the organisation and teams.
  • Preferably understand and can review and write code
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

Hours and Package:

  • Full time contract: 40 hours, Monday to Friday
  • Location: Central London
  • Salary Package: market rate
  • Job Start: Q3/Q4
  • Working arrangement: hybrid (3 office days, 2 home days)
