Search are currently recruiting for a procurement administrator for one of our supply chain management clients who are looking to grow their team due to a contract win

Duties include:

  • Receiving customer enquiries and logging onto the system along with sending out enquiries to our suppliers for pricing and producing our quotes to client.
  • Obtaining any other information the client may require for example: specification sheets or list of materials etc.
  • Responsibility for working on accounts, including adding sales orders / purchase invoices / bank accounts and matching these.
  • Resolve issues relating to accuracy of deliveries, quality rejects, invoice queries, overdue orders and production shortages.
  • Reacting to system messages to expedite, defer or cancel open order lines.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Good interpersonal and team working skills
  • Flexible and capable of working in a complex environment
  • Be capable of interfacing professionally with customers and suppliers
  • Resourceful, selfmotivated and confident, ability to work on own initiative
  • Hands on, make things happen approach
  • Excellent level of communication skills and customer interaction
  • Commercial awareness
  • Good judgement and decision making skills
  • Experience of dealing with multiple teams/sites
  • Excellent IT literacy particularly competent in use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Publisher, etc
There are also some desirable qualities that would be advantageous:

  • A background in shipping
  • Working experience in an engineering or electrical company
  • CIPs experience

  • A recent graduate finance, engineering, procurement
