Business Development Manager Position at Agnew Leasing
The main goal of a Business Development Manager is to identify and target potential SME businesses, specifically in the UK mainland with a focus on commercial vehicle opportunities (LCV up to 3.5t). This role involves working closely with the HoBD, HOS, and Sytner Group to provide a full range of products & services offered by Agnew Leasing.
Responsibilities include compiling quotations, conducting fleet reviews, submitting tenders, making AFM presentations, and actively participating in marketing activities. You will have a high level of autonomy and trust, requiring excellent communication skills both internally and with potential clients.
Your ultimate objective is to discover, nurture, assist in securing, and pass clients to our Account Manager Team for ongoing management, all while seeking new opportunities and monitoring business growth.
If based in NI, travel across the UK will be necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and approach new customers in NI & UK mainland.
- Maintain regular contact with potential customers to enhance relationships and secure business opportunities.
- Stay informed about funding products, taxation issues, Fleet Management, Salary Sacrifice, and Agnew Fleet Manager.
- Possess the ability to present, sell, and close deals at a senior management level.
- Collaborate with the Business Development and Sales teams, reviewing and maintaining business development activities.
- Adhere to the Company's Health and Safety Policy.
Your Skill Set:
- Demonstrated sales success in a target-oriented environment.
- Evidence of sales growth in previous roles.
- Prior experience in the motor industry, particularly in fleet and commercial vehicles.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, confident, and tenacious.
- Comfortable working in a digital environment.
- Knowledgeable about asset finance, fleet management, contract hire, and leasing.
- Proven ability to build lasting relationships that lead to successful outcomes.
- Must hold a valid driving license and be aged 25+ for insurance purposes.
