Currently, Lighthouse Games is on the lookout for a seasoned Principal Technical Animator to enhance our team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping our animation pipeline and upholding top-tier animation standards across our projects by working closely with artists, designers, and programmers. Your contribution will drive innovation in character animation within our games.



Key Duties Include

  • Create and maintain efficient animation pipelines, optimizing performance while ensuring high quality
  • Establish and enforce animation standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with various teams to develop advanced animation systems and tools
  • Drive innovation in animation processes by keeping abreast of industry trends
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure animations align with gameplay and technical requirements
Requirements
  • Extensive experience as a Technical Animator in the gaming industry
  • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Animation, or related field
  • Expertise in animation software like Maya, MotionBuilder, and/or 3DS Max
  • Thorough understanding of game engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or C#
  • Proficient in rigging and skinning complex characters
  • Deep knowledge of animation principles and techniques
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
