A rare opportunity has come available for a permanent position for a Band 7 Occupational Therapist working 33.75 hours a week to join the Community Based Neuro Rehab Team (CBNRT).

CBNRT is a supportive multi-disciplinary team (MDT) who deliver high quality assessments and rehabilitation for patients who have been discharged from the Acute Stroke Units and for patients in the community with Neurological conditions who need rehabilitation.

We are seeking a HCPC registered Band 7 Occupational Therapist.

We are looking for a professional, motivated, flexible and compassionate occupational therapist with excellent communication skills to provide specialist Neuro rehabilitation as a valued member of our MDT.

You will work as part of a Specialist multi-disciplinary team where you will do joint visits with other professionals as well as treat patients independently. The rehabilitation provided is in the community which includes patient's homes, work places and other community settings.

You will receive supervision and support for your caseload from experienced Occupational Therapists in the team and from the wider Community Neurological rehabilitation service. Your professional development will be supported and encouraged.

The post has an office base at Cremyll Road in Reading. The successful candidate must therefore be a car driver and have access to a car.

Main duties of the job The role will provide specialist Occupational Therapy to adults with Neurological conditions that require Rehab as part of the community neurorehabilitation and Earlier Supported discharge team for Stroke. The post will be offered to individuals who are motivated, innovative and have experience in neurological rehabilitation to join a dynamic, client centred service that provide excellence in the rehabilitation and management of patients.
