The Governing Body of Lindsworth School is seeking to appoint three Pastoral & Learning Support Workers.
- work as part of a team to provide the best possible quality of service to children and pupils with social, emotional, and mental health disabilities
- contribute to the development of innovative, positive residential services for pupils
- address the complex needs of children with imagination and initiative. Demonstrate a flexible and reflective approach
- secure high-quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils
- working with young people with special educational needs ideally with social, emotional and/or mental health disabilities
- working with children and young people on an individual basis in supporting their personal development
- working with small groups of pupils delivering interventions to support academic, behavioural and/or social progress
- promoting the progress and well-being of individual pupils and of any class or tutor group.


GCSE qualifications (or equivalent) at Grade C and above in English and Mathematics is a requirement for this post together with a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).

Lindsworth School is a mixed day/residential special school meeting the needs of 130 pupils, and rising, from Year 5 to Year 11 who have been assessed as having social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.

Many of the pupils have medical diagnoses including ADHD, ASC, PTSD, PDA, ODD and Attachment Disorder.

They have also experienced significant disruption to their education due to multiple school moves, fixed term and permanent exclusions and long periods of part-time or no placement in a school.
