IP Rights Specialist at the University of Oxford

This part-time role is for 2 days per week with an hourly pay rate of £19.55. The role is for a duration of 12 weeks initially.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake detailed background searches
  • Analyse information obtained
  • Undertake background searches on request
  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts
  • Develop positive relationships
  • Answer enquiries and provide advice
  • Prepare information for royalties
  • Liaise with research sponsors and collaborating institutions
  • Contribute to the development of new processes
  • Review the IP Rights Management unit's operations and processes

Selection Criteria:

  • Knowledge of Higher Education administration
  • Familiarity with the key issues addressed in researchrelated contracts
  • Experience of negotiating in an organised, calm, and professional manner
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex documentation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently to a high standard
  • Sound IT skills
