We are seeking an Employment Specialist to join our dynamic team at Oxford Health NHS Trust. As an Employment Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges to achieve their employment goals.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with IPS clients to set goals, refine their CVs, and practice interview techniques.
- Approach potential employers and discuss roles and job flexibility.
- Manage a caseload of up to 20 individuals with mental health problems who are waiting to gain new employment or retain their current employment.
- Deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach, for which training will be given.
- Essential qualifications: Educated to Degree level or equivalent, understanding of relevant policies and procedures, equalities legislation acquired through relevant training and experience.
- Desirable qualifications: Trained in IPS approach.
- Contractual requirements: Hold a Full Driving license and have access to a car.
- Experience: Able to use IT and tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, experience of working in supported employment services and/or equivalent experience, experience of working with people with mental health problems or a similar service user group.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of disability and special needs issues, policies, and legislation in relation to employment, good understanding of the principles and practice of supported employment.
