Sitting within the Finance & Operations division of Ideagen, the Global Head of Payroll will lead the Payroll function for the business.
This is a varied, fast-paced role in an organisation that is growing across its global locations.You will lead the development of the operating model for Payroll across the group including use of external payroll expertise where appropriate.
You will manage Ideagen's team of payroll professionals across our Global locations.Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the payroll function for Ideagen's Global operations;
- Ensuring that payroll is delivered on time and in compliance with local regulatory requirements in all Ideagen locations;
- Developing the operating model for payroll within Ideagen as the group continues to grow;
- Recruiting, developing and leading Ideagen's team of payroll professionals;
- Ensuring that any payroll related issues are escalated and oversee resolution management whilst collaborating effectively with stakeholders;
- Lead the relationship with external payroll consultants and partner organisations;
- Support Data & Analysis teams in ensuring that payroll and people data is governed and used effectively;
- Be the point of contact for Reward, People, Finance and Tax teams in relation to payroll matters;
- Identify and implement improvements to payroll processes and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience of leading payroll teams in an international organisation
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation within the UK
- Good understanding of running international payrolls
- Experience of leading and implementing payroll improvement projects and working with payroll related suppliers
- Understanding of businesstravel related taxation in the UK
- Experience of using a HR / Payroll system
- Advanced Excel skills
- Occasional international travel may be required
- **Desirable**:
- Recognised payroll qualification (CIPP or equivalent)
- Project management / continuous improvement experience
